All Nationally recognized programs include books, training materials, written and hands-on skills testing.  Certification cards for 1, 2 or 3 years depending on program.  (Ask about our group rates.)

Description of Classes Offered:

American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI)


Instructor Development Course-IDC (16 hours), Great opportunity to have a good career and teach a valuable skill!  And setting up an internal CPR training department eliminates costly retraining and training of employees. $250  includes manuals plus $25 application fee.


CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer (6-7 hours), for health care providers, first responders, and professional rescuers in and outside the hospital or for those needing professional-level basic life support training as a job requirement. $50

CPR for the Community and Workplace (5 hours), for persons who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills, such as emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, coaches, fitness trainers, parents and babysitters. $40, $45 w/AED.

Basic First Aid for the Community and Workplace (4-5 hours), for individuals who require or desire first aid knowledge and skills for both adults and children.  First aid training includes, bandaging, splinting, sudden illness, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions, burns, bites, stings, heat and cold emergencies. $35

BloodBorne Pathogens and OPIM {Other Potentially Infectious Material} (2 hours), for any employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties, including but not limited to; healthcare workers, public safety personnel, housekeeping and custodial workers, educational and correctional workers and designated first aid providers. $25

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS)  (4.5-6 hours), for childcare organizations and babysitting services. Instruction includes setting up and ensuring safety protocols are in place. Previous CPR and first aid training recommended. $40

American Heart Association (AHA)

BLS for the Healthcare Providers (5 hours), for healthcare professionals. Covers the same material as ASHI's CPR Pro. $55

HeartSaver CPR (4 hours), for those who have a duty to respond because of job requirement. $45, $50 w/AED.

CPR for Family and Friends (3 hours), for family members, friends and members of the community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card. $20 per family

American Red Cross (ARC)

CPR Pro--Designed for health care professionals and professional rescuers such as lifeguards (8 hours), AED training included. $65*Certification is now valid for 2 years.


CPR for Adult, Child, Infant & AED/ Adult, Child (6.5 hours), for individuals in the community and workplace. $55* & $60* w/AED Certification is valid for 1 year.

First Aid for adult, child, and infant (4 hours), first aid training includes how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. $45* Certification valid for 3 years.


Babysitter Training (7 hours), Start your own business.  Includes first aid kit and manuals and CD with tips on toys and games appropriate for different age groups, business suggestions do's and don't.  Prerequisites:  Ages 11-15. Bring a sack lunch and have fun! $35/$40* Babysitting certification cards good indefinitely and Child Infant CPR cards valid 1 year.

Additional class information:

All classes are nationally recognized and adhere to the CPR/ECC Guidelines.

AED, Automatic External Defibrillator, training is strongly recommended in all CPR Programs.

CPR for adult, child, and infant is taught in all CPR classes.

Classes include books and certification cards.

Certification cards are good for 2 years except first aid classes which are good for 3 years.

Written and skills test taken at the end of classes.

CPR for the Family and Friends includes books and participation cards, no test.

There is a $15 reduction when taking 2 or more programs from same organization.  

You never know when you will need to SAVE A LIFE!

These are 'hands on' classes that require physical exertion.  Please check with you doctor if you have any cardiac or medical conditions that would be aggravated.  Also, notify the instructors before the class if you have any back, joint issues or other concerns so arrangements can be made.  Also, if you have a cold, respiratory infection, or any mouth sores, please postpone the class until you are well.

America Safety and Health Institute CLASSES

All classes can be arranged at your location and time.  Current locations are Florida & Ohio. Complies with employment requirements.

Basic First Aid:  Covers all possible workplace injuries/illnesses that can occur in manufacturing and office situations. Learning Basic First Aid Skills can reduce or eliminate costly work related injuries.

Bloodborne Pathogen and OPIM:  Many facilities caring for individuals--daycares, nursing homes, prisons, rehab centers, outpatient surgery centers, home health care and EMS Personnel can benefit from this valuable training to reduce there chance of contracting a  potential life theatening pathogen.

CPR for the Community and WorkPlace:  All can benefit from this training. Know what to do it an emergency arises, help a family member, friend or anyone in need. The most skill you can ever learn!

CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer:  HSI is nationally recognized and meets all AHA 2010 Guidelines.  The hand on practice, medical rationales and testing will ensure your readiness to perform you job effectively.  Online reviews are available so you can keep skills fresh.

 

Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS):

Classes can be arranged your time and location.

Start your own childcare business and learn valuable skills taking care of infants and children.  Day 1 is CPR and Choking for children and infants including CPR manuals and 2 year certification cards.  Day 2 emphasis is on starting your babysitting business, games and toys for tots and infants, feeding, diapering, and caring for children and infants, knowing what to ask the parents before they leave, answering telephones and door knocks, water and other hazards and basic first aid.  Babysitters' manual and 2 year certification card included.

Monthly ($25 each class and $40 for both days)

    9a-1:30p (2 day class)

    9a-5p (1 day class)


ASHI Instructor Development Class - Become an instructor and start your own business or have an internal cost effective CPR training program for your employees.  $250 includes IDC Materials, Training Center Manual and Training Center setup guidelines.  $25 application fee waived when setting up Training Center.  New CPR and ECC Guidelines will be covered.

American Heart Association CLASSES

HeartSaver CPR  for those who require or have the desire to learn CPR for employment.

Classes every Saturday in Gahanna, Ohio 43230.


Family and Friends CPR  for anyone who wishes to learn CPR and do not need certification card.  NO stress, no test and only 3 hours. Great for the family, church groups, and folks of all ages! 

Monthly 1p - 4p or time specified by group. (no certification cards issued for this class)
